WINTER SPORTS CHARTER SCHOOL REMODEL
Archiplex Group was selected by the Winter Sports Charter School to provide site selection services and master planning for the transition of the Winter Sports School into a State of Utah Charter School. With a successful pre-design effort, the services were expanded into complete building design, construction documentation and construction services.
A building site was acquired with an existing fifteen year old 9,000 SF abandoned home, which had never been occupied. With a successful pre-design and property selection effort, the services were expanded into phased building design, with the first phase encompassing a complete remodel of the 6,000 SF ground floor. The services included construction documentation and construction services. The first phase was followed 1.5 years later with a second phase remodel of the 3,000 SF upper floor. The new school building incorporates science labs, multiple classrooms in a variety of teaching configurations, student lockers, restrooms and administrative spaces plus exterior parking and field space.
