Having acquired a vacant property in the Park Meadows neighborhood of Park City, our client approached Archiplex Group, LLC for a design that would harmonize with the surrounding mountain-style homes while showcasing a contemporary aesthetic. By incorporating classic materials such as stone, wood, and metal in a distinctive modern manner, we were able to fulfill the owner’s vision.
The empty-nesters required a floor plan that could efficiently accommodate two individuals while also providing space for out-of-town guests. The design of the home focused on enabling the owners to ‘age in place.’ The three upstairs suites have separate heating/cooling systems, allowing them to be easily shut off when unoccupied. Furthermore, the deep eaves and L-shaped building structure provide protection against the elements, while the back patio can be enjoyed throughout the year. The low-maintenance xeriscaping in the yard suits the needs of the owners, who frequently split their time between Park City and California, and are therefore often away for extended periods.
