PARK CITY FIRE DEPARTMENT FLEET SERVICES BUILDING

The Park City Fire Department Fleet Services Building is a multipurpose facility that serves as a hub for the maintenance and storage of heavy and light fire department fleet vehicles. In addition to the vehicle storage area, the building also houses equipment storage, a supply room, and office space. Situated on an unimproved gentle hillside in Summit County, Utah, great care has been taken to ensure efficient access to and circulation around the building while minimizing excavation and grading efforts.

One notable feature of the building is its roof design, which is sloped to the south. This innovative approach allows for passive solar snow and ice melt, reducing the need for manual removal and enhancing safety during winter months. The south-facing roof creates future opportunities for the incorporation of renewable photo-voltaic panels, providing an eco-friendly energy source.
