Draper City Public Works Facility

Archiplex Group provided design and construction administration for two additions (in 2010 and 2013) to the Draper City Public Works Facility. Archiplex Principal, Ralph Stanislaw, designed the original complex in 2001. The extensions of the building to the east included the conversion of an open storage bay into a vehicle repair bay. Additionally, a truck wash and trash collection pit were added for garbage truck maintenance. The Building Program includes accommodation for the following departments and functions:

  • Parks Division
  • Streets (Maintenance of nearly 130 miles of streets)
  • Water and Storm Water Divisions
  • Fleet services Division
  • Central equipment supplies warehouse
  • EOC (Emergency Operation Center)
  • Salt Storage Building
  • Neighborhood Dumpster storage program

The existing fleet of street maintenance vehicles, parks maintenance vehicles, and mowers exceeds thirty (30) vehicles. The site can accommodate storage for additional equipment and supplies used for maintenance and public utilities. Additionally, the City has planned to locate an Emergency Operations Response (EOC) command post in the new facility.
